Every weekend, summer and winter, playing fields come to life with the sounds of laughter and shouting, balls and bats. Community sport is played, with children and adults having fun, making new friends and getting outdoors.
Over its 21-year history, Community Bank Epping has always helped a range of local clubs. Sometimes it is with one-off grants for equipment, uniforms and more. But year-on-year, clubs also seek annual sponsorship.
Sponsorship helps clubs to stay afloat with baseline income, irrespective of the vagaries of recruiting players each year. Sponsorship funding covers a myriad of day to day costs these community organisations incur just to stay operating. It could be helping coaches and umpires with training, extra equipment or maintenance, or simply assisting families in need with a subsidy off registration costs. Every bit helps.
This year, we are sponsoring:
Epping Bulls Cricket Club: With summer starting, go watch a game of cricket on a warm Saturday at Epping Oval on Norfolk Road, or North Epping Oval on Boundary Road. The Bulls offer cricket from juniors to seniors and is an active and successful club. eppingbulls.com.au
St Gerard’s Netball Club: A busy netball club based in Carlingford, St Gerard’s play each winter at part of the ERNA competition at Meadowbank. stgerardsnetball.com
North Epping Rangers: Headquartered at North Epping Oval, the Rangers has been at the heart of life in North Epping for more than 60 years. They have a large soccer component, playing from minis to seniors, whilst their netball division plays at ERNA. They also operate the two tennis courts sites in the suburb. ner.og.au
